Terms of Service
Last updated August 13, 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and us about your use of TinyCase. We've written them in plain English because you should be able to read them in one sitting. Using TinyCase means you accept them.
1. Who we are
TinyCase is operated by GusTech, a business based in Nova Scotia, Canada. "We", "us", and "our" mean GusTech. "You" means the person or organization using TinyCase. You can reach us any time at support@tinycase.app.
2. Your account
You need an account to use TinyCase, and you need to give us an email address that reaches you — it's how we send case notifications and anything important about your subscription. Keep your credentials to yourself, and tell us promptly if you think someone else has them.
Your account belongs to an organization. Anyone you invite as a staff member can see and act on the cases, customers, and documentation in that organization, and you're responsible for what they do there. You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live.
3. What you may and may not do
Use TinyCase for support. Don't use it to:
- break the law, or help anyone else do so
- send bulk unsolicited email or run marketing campaigns through case notifications
- store or distribute malware, or content you have no right to hold
- attack, probe, or overload the service, or work around its limits
- resell TinyCase or pass it off as your own product
We may suspend an account that's doing any of this, and we'll tell you why. For anything that threatens the service or other users we may need to act first and explain afterwards.
4. Your content and your customers
Everything you put into TinyCase stays yours: your cases, messages, documentation, uploads, and customer records. You give us only the permission we need to actually run the service — to store that content, display it back to you and to your customers, back it up, and send it in the emails the service generates on your behalf.
When your customers contact you through TinyCase, their personal information is in your hands, not ours. You decide what to collect and how long to keep it; we handle it on your instructions. You're responsible for having the right to collect it and for telling your customers how you use it, including your own privacy policy where the law requires one. Our Privacy Policy explains what we do with it.
5. Plans, billing, and refunds
The free plan is free, with no time limit and no card. Pro is $9 per month or $59 per year, charged in US dollars unless checkout offers your local currency. Prices exclude tax; VAT, GST, or sales tax is added at checkout based on where you are.
Payments run through Stripe — we never see or store your card number. A Pro subscription starts with a 30-day free trial and then renews automatically for the same period until you cancel. Cancel any time from the billing portal in your settings: your plan stays active through the period you've already paid for, then the organization moves back to the free plan. Your cases, customers, and documentation stay where they are.
We don't refund automatically for partial periods, but we're a small shop and we're reasonable. If something went wrong, email us. If we change our prices we'll give you at least 30 days' notice by email, and the new price applies from your next renewal.
6. Custom domains
If you point your own domain at your TinyCase portal, you must control that domain and keep its DNS records pointed at us for it to work. We'll obtain and renew a TLS certificate for it automatically. If the domain stops resolving to us, the portal stops answering on it.
7. AI features
TinyCase can draft replies and answer questions using your documentation. These are suggestions, not answers. They can be wrong, out of date, or confidently invented, and you're responsible for what you send to your customers. Don't rely on them for legal, medical, financial, or safety advice.
8. Availability
We work hard to keep TinyCase up, but we don't promise a particular uptime and there's no service level agreement on any plan. We'll take the service down for maintenance when we need to, and we'll keep it short.
9. Ending the agreement
You can stop using TinyCase and close your account at any time. We can suspend or close an account that breaches these terms or hasn't paid, and we'll give you notice and a chance to fix it unless the breach is serious. If we discontinue TinyCase entirely, we'll give you at least 60 days' notice and a way to export your data.
After an account is closed we delete its data within 30 days, and it rolls out of our backups after that. Export anything you want to keep before you close it.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as TinyCase changes. For anything material we'll email account owners before it takes effect. Continuing to use TinyCase after that means you accept the new version. The date at the top always tells you when this page last changed.
11. Warranties and liability
TinyCase is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, and we don't warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to TinyCase is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law, including consumer rights you have that can't be waived.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Nova Scotia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Disputes go to the courts of Nova Scotia, though if you're a consumer you keep whatever rights your local law gives you to bring a claim closer to home.
