Submitting and Tracking a Case

What your customers see, from the submit form to a reply.

Submitting and Tracking a Case

This is the customer side — what someone sees when they contact you through
TinyCase.

The submit form

Name, email, subject, and a message. On Pro, they can also attach files —
images, PDFs, or plain text, up to 5 MB each.

The email address is how TinyCase recognizes a returning customer: submit
again with the same email and it's linked to the same customer record, no
account or login needed.

After submitting

What happens next depends on your plan:

  • Free — a plain "thanks, we got it" confirmation page. There's no case
page to check back on; you reply from your own inbox once you see the
    notification email.
  • Pro — they're taken straight to their case page, and can come back to
it any time at the same private link. Replies from you show up there, and
    they can reply back directly.

The case page (Pro)

The case page shows the full message thread — customer messages and your
replies, in order. Internal notes you leave on a case are never shown here.

A "Turn off email notifications" toggle lets a customer stop getting
emailed about updates without losing access to the page itself; they can
turn it back on the same way.

Once a case has been resolved for more than 30 days, replying on that page
is closed — they'd need to submit a new case instead.

Attachments

Accepted on both the initial submission and customer replies (Pro): PNG,
JPEG, GIF, WEBP, PDF, or plain text, 5 MB max per file.
